Are you an experienced SEND Teaching assistant looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham?
Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a friendly in a mixed SEND School providing support KS3 and KS4 students.
This large secondary age special school caters to students with autism and complex needs, with a diverse range of abilities. The successful SEND TA will need to be able to support pupils that may have challenging behaviour, specific learning difficulties or EHCP's. With support from other members of staff, activities will be set by the teacher, and you will support pupils with their progress and attainment.
Experience supporting some of the following is essential (6 months minimum):
ADHD
Asperger Syndrome
Autism (ASD)
Challenging Behaviour
Dyslexia
Epilepsy
Global Development Delay (GDD)
Hearing Impairment (HI)
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
Non-Verbal Learning Difficulties (NLD)
Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)
Speech and Language Disorder
Visual Impairment (VI)
