Job Title: Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant Area: West Drayton, Hillingdon Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm Salary: £103 - £110 per day (depending on experience) Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm Interview: Video interview ASAP - First stage interview Brief description: Support students with SEMH needs in a specialist secondary alternative provision with a focus on English, PSHE, Humanities, Psychology About the school: A specialist alternative provision school for students aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Focused on personalised learning and strong therapeutic support. About the role: Support students in and out of class, working closely with teachers and therapists. Help manage behaviour, build trust, and create a safe and engaging learning environment. We're looking for a dedicated candidate to: Provide academic and emotional support to students Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management Build positive, consistent relationships with students Maintain a safe and structured learning environmentRequirements - The ideal candidate would have: Experience working with children or young people (in school or youth settings) Understanding of SEN/SEMH (desirable) Strong interpersonal and communication skills A calm, patient and resilient attitude Team player with a flexible approachOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
