Full-Time KS1 Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience - St Albans, Hertfordshire
Start Date: November 2025 or January 2026 | Full Academic Year
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, seeking a committed and experienced Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time position is available for a November or January start, continuing until the end of the academic year.
The school provides an engaging and nurturing environment for children from Nursery to Year 6. With a strong focus on wellbeing and achievement, staff work collaboratively to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential.
The Role
You'll be working full-time (Monday to Friday) within Key Stage 1, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through one-to-one and small group work. Your role will be vital in helping children access learning, develop confidence, and make meaningful progress both academically and socially.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who:
Has recent experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 1
Understands effective SEN strategies and interventions
Is caring, patient, and skilled at building positive relationships with children
Works well as part of a team and shows initiative in the classroom
Ideally holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
