Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Greenwich
Start: Immediate | Full-Time | Long-Term | Competitive Pay (via PAYE)
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream secondary school in Greenwich. This is a full-time, long-term position available for an immediate start - ideal for someone passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to support lessons, provide targeted assistance to students, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with their learning through one-to-one and small group interventions
Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management
Help adapt learning materials and activities to meet the needs of individual students
Promote engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour in the classroom
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure all students make progress
What we're looking for:
Previous experience working with children or young people (in education, tutoring, or youth work)
A positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills
A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
