Job Description
Milk Education are proud to be working on behalf of a lovely primary school in Northumberland who are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and supporting children at the very start of their learning journey. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and creative EYFS activities
* Assist with learning through play, small group work and 1:1 support
* Help children with personal care, routines and social development
* Promote a safe, caring and inclusive classroom environment
* Observe and record children’s progress, feeding back to the teacher and EYFS Lead
The Ideal Candidate:
* Has experience working in an EYFS or nursery setting
* Is nurturing, patient and enthusiastic about supporting young learners
* Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
* Holds a relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Can adapt to the varying needs and abilities of children in an EYFS setting
