Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Brent) Location: Brent, Northwest London Start Date: January 2026 Salary: £500 – £550 per week (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, term-time only About the School This welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent is proud of its vibrant learning community and strong sense of belonging. The Role The school is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. You will play a vital role in supporting learning across the KS2 phase, working closely with the class teacher to help pupils reach their academic and personal goals. Key Responsibilities: Deliver targeted intervention and comprehension support in small groups and one-to-one settings. Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. Support pupils with their literacy and numeracy skills, helping to build confidence and understanding. Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to learning plans. Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing classroom environment that fosters respect and collaboration. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, clubs, and enrichment activities.About You Previous experience working with KS2 pupils or within a primary school setting is highly desirable. Confident in delivering small-group interventions focused on reading comprehension and core subject support. Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping every child achieve their best. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Reliable, proactive, and organised, with a genuine passion for education and child development.
