Long Term Futures are seeking a reliable and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support KS1 and KS2 pupils in a well-established primary school in Barking. This long-term opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) develop both academically and socially within an inclusive and nurturing environment.
The Role: Teaching Assistant
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
Implementing behaviour, emotional and social development strategies
Supporting the creation of an inclusive, structured and engaging learning environment
Assisting with personalised interventions and support plans
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Previous experience supporting pupils in a SEN or primary school setting
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A commitment to inclusive education and pupil development
An enthusiastic, adaptable and collaborative approach
Understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing and child protection
