Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a new and rewarding challenge? Or a recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience working with students with SEN or SEMH needs? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Academics Ltd is partnering with a number of excellent secondary schools across the Swindon area, and we are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring individuals to join their support teams as soon as possible. You will play a vital role in helping students with SEN and SEMH needs access their education and reach their full potential.
This position is ideal for candidates with previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, individuals with experience supporting children with complex needs, or graduates aspiring to careers such as Educational Psychology.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support and manage behaviour in a positive, proactive manner
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans
Build strong, trusting relationships with students as a positive and reliable role model
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote a safe, supportive learning environment
Ideal Candidate
Experience working in a school or with children/young people
Confident in managing challenging behaviour while maintaining positive relationships
Passionate about education, inclusion, and supporting students to succeed
