Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEN Setting (Primary)
 Location: Sheffield, S6
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term until July 2026
 Start Date: January 2026 / ASAP

About the Role:
 We are seeking an experienced and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our small, specialist setting for primary-aged children. Our school supports pupils with additional needs, some of whom may present challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives on making a real difference in the lives of children and can work with initiative within a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning and interventions.

Implement behaviour strategies, including Team Teach techniques where applicable.

Encourage positive engagement, independence, and social development in pupils.

Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to planning.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working with primary-aged children in a specialist or SEN setting.

Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

Initiative and ability to work independently within a small team.

Team Teach qualification or willingness to undertake training is desirable.

Commitment to the well being and development of all pupils.
