Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? You do not need school-based experience to apply - we welcome candidates with personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs.

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs, which may include autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social and emotional needs.

About the Role:

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Helping pupils access learning in and outside the classroom
Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored supportWho We're Looking For:

You may be a great fit if you:

Have personal experience supporting someone with additional needs (for example, a sibling, family member or close friend with autism or other SEN)
Are patient, empathetic and understanding
Are resilient and calm under pressure
Have a genuine interest in helping children thriveSchool experience is not essential. We value real-life experience, compassion and the right attitude just as much as professional background. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
