TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming mainstream primary schools across Teesside. These schools are known for their inclusive ethos, supportive Senior Leadership Teams, and commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential in a positive learning environment.

The schools are looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long term, day to day basis starting ASAP. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting children across the primary age range with SEND, including ASD and additional learning needs, providing both 1:1 and small group support while promoting engagement and development.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting
• A strong understanding of supporting pupils with ASD and additional needs
• Excellent communication and classroom support skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get involved
