A number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Wandsworth are seeking reliable and flexible Bank Teaching Assistants to join their supply teams on a zero-hours basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bank Teaching Assistant who is looking for flexible work and the ability to choose from a variety of available shifts. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across different primary school settings, supporting children aged 4-11 and gaining experience across different year groups.

The Role - Bank Teaching Assistant

The successful Bank Teaching Assistant will:

Work on a flexible, zero-hours basis across primary schools in Wandsworth.

Choose from a variety of available shifts depending on availability.

Support children aged 4-11 across different year groups.

Assist class teachers with day-to-day classroom activities.

Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.

Support children with special educational needs and additional learning needs.

Help pupils access learning and participate fully in school activities.

Assist with interventions, classroom activities and general learning support.

Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.

Adapt quickly to different school environments and classroom requirements.

The Ideal Bank Teaching Assistant

Has previous school-based experience working with children.

Is comfortable working with children aged 4-11.

Has experience or confidence supporting children with special educational needs.

Is flexible, reliable and adaptable.

Has a patient, caring and nurturing approach.

Is able to follow instructions and adapt to the needs of individual schools.

Has strong communication and classroom management skills.
