Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team to work at a primary school in Wakefield. This full-time, long-term position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Position Details:

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
*
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
*
Start Date: As soon as possible
*
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (term time only)
Key Responsibilities:
*
Provide one-to-one support to a student with SEN, assisting with their learning and development.
*
Collaborate with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.
*
Support the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
*
Encourage the student's social and emotional development.
*
Monitor and record the student's progress, reporting to the SENCO and parents as required.
Requirements:
*
Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to student support.
*
Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential.
*
An Enhanced DBS check on the update service will be required.
