About the Role:
We are working with a primary school in Kirkby, Liverpool to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants supporting children with mild learning difficulties in their reception class. This position will involve providing tailored support to a child with special educational needs (SEND), helping them engage with the curriculum, develop socially, and reach their full potential. The role will start in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer 1:1 support to a child with SEND
* Adapt learning activities to meet the child’s specific needs
* Encourage social interaction, independence, and emotional growth
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to track and improve progress
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working with SEND children (preferred)
* Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) desirable but not essential
