Job Title: Support Worker (PMLD) - Teaching Assistant
Location: Wandsworth, Southwest London
Salary: £90 to £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time | Long-term

GSL Education is currently recruiting for a Support Worker (PMLD) - Teaching Assistant to join a leading special needs school in Wandsworth. This is a unique opportunity to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a warm, inclusive, and well-equipped setting.
About the School:
Located in a quaint part of Southwest London, the school caters to pupils with visual and sensory impairments and offers a supportive, state-of-the-art learning environment. The school features both modern classroom facilities and a dedicated residential area, creating an integrated experience for learners.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD and sensory impairments.
Support the implementation of individual learning programmes and care plans.
Use assistive technologies and sensory resources to engage learners.
Work closely with therapists, teachers, and other support staff to meet the holistic needs of each student.
Assist with personal care tasks where required, including feeding and hygiene.
Foster a calm, safe, and nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Availability for immediate daily cover/full time work 8:30am-16:00 pm Monday to Friday
have experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties including Physical Disabilities, ASC, PMLD
Youth/Community work experience
SEN experience
Residential support/care worker
Teaching/Learning support Assistance
