Job Description
We are currently seeking dedicated and caring Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the St Albans area. These full-time positions are available for an immediate start and involve supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a classroom-based setting.
The role:
Full time, Mon - Fri, 08.30am to 4:00pm
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting SEND pupils with both their academic progress and personal development.
Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils, as directed by the class teacher
Assisting with personal care needs where required, ensuring pupils feel safe and supported
Promoting inclusion and encouraging pupils to engage fully with classroom activities
Helping to create and lead play-based learning activities to support independence and communication
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement individual learning plans
The ideal candidate:
Available immediately & local to the St Albans area
Experience working with children in a professional setting
Upbeat, caring and attentive personality as a Teaching Assistant
