Teaching Assistant Pay Scale: £90 - £110 Start Date: September 2025 Location: Wakefield Full-time role Career Teachers are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in Wakefield. This school has high expectations of its pupils and the whole team work together to ensure the best outcomes for all. This is a full-time position is available from September 2025 and will run until Easter with great potential to extend. You will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with severe or profound learning disabilities, helping them to thrive in their educational environment. This school aims to provide a safe and supportive environment which is both educationally stimulating and appropriately challenging in order to enable all pupils to excel in their personal development and learning. The team are committed to working in partnership with families, other professionals and stakeholders to ensure that the highest standards of care and provision are in place for each child. Outdoor learning is a feature of the curriculum. The school has extensive grounds that are well developed and play areas have been planned according to the needs of the pupils and to enable them to develop both physically, socially and cognitively. In addition pupils benefit from a programme of Forest School learning both on and off-site.
