Job Description
SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Mansfield
Location: Mansfield, NG18
Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Salary: £100-£105 per day
Class Mate is working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Mansfield (NG18) to recruit a caring and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil on a full-time basis from September.
The Role:
*
Providing 1:1 support for a KS2 child with additional learning and emotional needs
*
Implementing strategies and support outlined in the child’s EHCP
*
Supporting the child’s academic engagement and social development
*
Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external agencies
*
Contributing to a calm, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
*
Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting
*
Calm, patient and confident in providing consistent, individualised support
*
Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
*
Flexible, resilient and committed to inclusive education
*
Relevant training (e.g. autism awareness, Team Teach) is desirable
