Job Description

Role: Teaching Assistant Location: M20, Manchester Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break) Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour (Dependent on Experience) Start Date: September 2025 Duration: Long-term Reeson Education is looking for a caring, committed, and reliable Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged pupil on a 1:1 basis in a warm and welcoming primary school in the M20 area. This full-time Teaching Assistant role is set to begin in September and is expected to continue for the full academic year. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a child with special educational needs, supporting their communication, emotional development, and day-to-day classroom engagement. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with a calm and nurturing nature, and a genuine interest in making a difference in early years education. Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with SEN Assist with personalised learning activities and sensory strategies Work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo as a proactive Teaching Assistant Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and early years development Support with toileting, transitions, and emotional regulation when needed Monitor progress and communicate regularly with the wider support team Contribute to the pupil's EHCP targets as a key Teaching Assistant Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding practices Be a dependable, daily presence as the child's dedicated Teaching AssistantTeaching Assistant Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in early years support Confidence supporting pupils with SEN, ideally in EYFS or KS1 Strong communication, patience, and a caring approach Willingness to assist with personal care and sensory routines Reliable and fully committed to a long-term Teaching Assistant role Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Excellent attendance, punctuality, and professional referencesWhy Join This School as a Teaching Assistant?
