Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | September Start
Are you passionate about education and keen to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Zest Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Stafford, and we are looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and eager to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in small groups and on a one-to-one basis
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
* Providing tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs
* Preparing classroom resources and supporting lesson planning when required
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about helping young people thrive
* Confident and calm when working with secondary-age pupils
* Able to build positive relationships with both staff and students
* Proactive, flexible, and reliable
* Previous school experience is desirable, but not essential – training can be provided for the right candidate
Requirements:
* A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* References covering the last 2 years of employment
