Job Description
We are looking for a caring, committed, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with class teachers to support the learning, development, and well-being of pupils in Early Years or Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports every child's potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
Work with small groups or individual pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL), to provide targeted learning interventions.
Assist in implementing the EYFS framework or KS1 curriculum, contributing to continuous provision, phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities.
Monitor pupil progress through observations and informal assessments, feeding back to the teacher to inform planning.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in line with the school's values and behaviour policy.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to foster a supportive and inclusive school community.
Help to prepare classroom resources and maintain a well-organised, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities as needed.
