Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant : Build strong, positive relationships with students to support their emotional well-being and engagement in school life Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils manage emotions, behaviour, and social interactions Monitor student welfare and behaviour across the school day, working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families Support the implementation of behaviour and emotional support plans Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment Job Description - SEN Teaching Assistant – Basingstoke – September 2025 Start! Job Type: Full-Time/ part time Salary: £82.80 to £100 per day The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should: Have experience or a passion for working with children with SEN Be flexible, proactive and patient Be nurturing and caring in your approaches Be able to communicate effectively within a team  Be open to providing personal care A keen interest and willingness to work with challenging behaviour and complex needs.
