English Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Slough Start Date: September 2025 Location: Slough Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (September 2025 - July 2026) A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Slough is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic English Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent English graduate or someone with equivalent qualifications who is looking to gain experience in education. About the Role: As an English Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting students' progress and confidence in English, both in and out of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils in English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Delivering targeted literacy interventions to small groups or individual students Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lesson activities Providing support for students with additional learning needs, including SEN and EAL Helping students improve their reading, writing, and analytical skills Monitoring and recording student progress and providing feedback to teachers Creating and maintaining a positive and encouraging learning environment This role is ideal for someone considering a future in teaching, as it offers excellent exposure to classroom dynamics and high-quality teaching practice.
