Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Scunthorpe & Surrounding Areas Start Date: September 2025 Location: Scunthorpe and nearby villages Pay: £12.00 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience) Availability: Minimum 3 days per week Are you someone who finds purpose in helping others succeed? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across a number of lovely Primary Schools in the Scunthorpe area. Starting in September 2025, these roles offer a chance to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, depending on your skills and experience. What will the role involve? You could be: Supporting a child 1:1 with additional needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, or learning delays) Providing group support in lessons to help children understand tasks Encouraging emotional well-being and positive behaviour Assisting the class teacher with planning, setting up resources and managing classroom routines Helping create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn No two days are the same, and that’s what makes this job so exciting. One day you may be helping a shy Year 1 pupil find their voice, and the next, you’re supporting a small group in KS2 with reading or maths. We’re looking for someone who is: Kind, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils Proactive and confident working with children who may need extra emotional or academic support Adaptable – able to jump into a new classroom with a positive attitude Happy to follow school policies while bringing your own warmth and creativity to the role Requirements: At least 5 GCSEs (A*–C), including English and Maths Some experience working with children – whether in a school, nursery, playgroup, sports coaching, or volunteering A child-only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development Why work with Teaching Personnel?
