A Teaching Assistant is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.
This will be a full time long term Teaching Assistant position, with scope to go permanent.
Working hours for this Teaching Assistant post will be 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to:
Supporting identified students in 1:1, group or whole class situations
Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
Leading small group sessions and interventions
Attending to students' personal needs when required
Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between £82.14 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School
An 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in the London Borough of Merton.
It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff.
90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4.
The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities.
Ofsted have noted there is positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community.
Requirements
Applications are welcome if you're a Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant.
You're also welcome to apply if you're a British trained Teaching Assistant or overseas trained Teaching Assistant.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Teaching Assistant:
Right to work in the UK
Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
Experience of working with children/young people from the ages of 11 to 18 or as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
