SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield (NG17)
Pay: £90-£103 per day
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am- 3:30pm
Start Date: September

Long Term Futures is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded education setting that supports students aged 4-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). This role is perfect for those with an SEN/ trauma informed background who want to use their skills to engage students needing extra support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage in learning.
Develop positive behaviour through structured learning activities and other interactive sessions.
Assist students in managing emotions by implementing targeted support strategies.
Offer both emotional and physical support, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Work closely with a skilled team to ensure students receive well-rounded support.
Develop and implement effective behaviour management techniques to support long-term student success.What We're Looking For:
Experience working with SEN or challenging behaviours in education settings or similar.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
