Teaching Assistant – Part Time (Fixed Term, 1 Year)
Northamptonshire
Salary: NJC Grade 3, FTE £24,027 pro rata (£9,726 actual)
Hours: 17.5 per week, mornings (8:30 – 12:00), Term Time Only
Start date: September 2025 – Fixed Term until August 2026
The School and Role
An inclusive, community-focused primary school in Northamptonshire is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. Working five mornings a week, you will support small groups and individual pupils under teacher supervision, assist with planning, provide feedback, and help manage classroom behaviour. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing the learning environment and supporting pupil wellbeing.
Requirements
Please note: Only candidates with proven UK primary school experience and required qualifications will be considered.
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Teaching Assistance or GCSE equivalent including English and Maths
Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting
Ability to support planning, deliver interventions, and monitor pupil progress
Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
