SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Daily Rate: £80–£110 (based on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

A caring and specialist school in Hemel Hempstead is looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team this September. The school supports students with autism and complex needs, offering a nurturing environment with strong multidisciplinary collaboration and a focus on EHCP-led progress.
The Role
This term-time role is ideal for someone compassionate, proactive, and eager to support individual learning journeys. Whether you're experienced in SEN or just starting out, you’ll be supported by a skilled and welcoming team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism and additional needs
Assist in delivering personalised learning activities based on EHCP targets
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
Assist with personal care where required
Keep accurate records and track pupil progress
What We’re Looking For:
SEN experience is beneficial but not essential
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Eagerness to learn and take part in training
Reliable, flexible, and committed to inclusive values
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
