About You
In order to be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will be friendly and approachable with outstanding interpersonal skills that you can use to build strong, healthy relationships with pupils with complex needs. You will have some understanding of additional learning needs, obtained via experience or studies, that you will use to facilitate the unique needs of each individual. You will have confidence in your ability to adapt yourself and learning materials to the needs of each child, to ensure that the maximum potential of every young person is fulfilled.
The Role:
We work with supportive and welcoming schools who will provide professional support to you whilst working alongside children with learning difficulties and ensuring all their needs are met. The role may be varied working on a one-to-one or small group basis with learners with complex needs. It is essential that the successful candidate is motivated to understand what motivates each child to enable full engagement and maximise attainment. You will:
* Support the teacher in delivering lesson plans
* Assist in classroom management and student supervision
* Provide one-on-one support to students who require extra help
* Prepare and organise teaching materials
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
