Job Description
Zen Educate are looking for Teaching Assistant who can support in a full time capacity and who has a British Sign Language Qualification.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Leeds. This full-time role is integral to supporting a young Deaf boy with complex needs, including ASD,
The successful candidate will work closely with the class team to provide effective communication and personalised support, fostering an inclusive environment that aligns with our school’s ethos of nurturing each child’s potential. This opportunity is ideal for someone resilient, collaborative, and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
The position is available to commence immediately and will run on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities: - Support the young Deaf boy with ASD, utilising Level 1 BSL (British Sign Language) to facilitate effective communication and engagement. - Assist in implementing personalised strategies to promote the child's development, independence, and well-being within the classroom setting.
Be resilient and adaptable in a challenging yet nurturing environment, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour at all times.
