We’re working with a vibrant and supportive mixed secondary school in Waltham Forest that’s looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join them from September. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role ideal for someone looking to grow their career in education or SEN support.
Role Overview:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN (including ASD, SEMH, ADHD)
Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to adapt learning strategies
Promote emotional wellbeing, focus and engagement in lessons
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
About You:
Experience supporting students with SEN (in school or similar setting)
Patient, resilient, and calm under pressure
Good communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
