Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive Year 3 team at a welcoming primary school in Medway. This role is to start from 3rd September.
The Teaching Assistant Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support for pupils in Year 3. You will assist with delivering engaging lessons, supporting individual and small group learning, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
Supporting pupils with their learning across the curriculum
Assisting the teacher in planning and preparing resources
Working with children who need additional support, including those with SEND
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school’s values
Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised classroom
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 2
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A good level of literacy and numeracy
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
