An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and forward-thinking team at a vibrant Primary School in Blackwood. Starting this September, this full-time role offers a meaningful chance to support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them unlock their full potential.
Minimum daily rate: £89.90
Your Role Will Include:
Providing tailored support to children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs.
Supporting the delivery of a nurture-based curriculum focused on building resilience, confidence, and key social skills.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing space where all pupils feel valued and understood.
Leading small group or 1:1 interventions to address specific emotional or academic challenges.
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation through structured support.

Has a proactive attitude and a positive mindset.
Brings any relevant experience working with children (formal or informal—every bit helps!).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
