Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Ilford. This full-time role involves working closely with a Year 4 pupil who has complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's education and well-being, while gaining valuable experience in a nurturing and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD and ADHD
Help implement personalised learning strategies and behaviour plans
Promote engagement and inclusion within the classroom
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
Support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in a UK primary school classroom (essential)
Strong understanding of supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow guidance
Right to work in the UK
