We’re currently looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic chance to help students in KS3 & KS4 in a dynamic learning environment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support classroom learning, help students access the curriculum, and encourage progress and positive behaviour. This Temp to Perm opportunity offers hands-on experience working closely with teaching and pastoral teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support lesson delivery across multiple subjects
Provide 1:1 and group support, including SEN/EAL students
Assist with classroom setup and resource preparation
Encourage a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Help manage classroom behaviour effectively
Work with SENCOs, teachers, and support staff to meet pupil needs
Supervise students during break/lunch when required
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year working with secondary-aged students
Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
Skills:
Strong communication and teamwork
Positive attitude and adaptable approach
Committed to supporting young learners
DBS Check
