In this role, you’ll be supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, providing both 1:1 support and small group/classroom assistance. You will play a vital role in helping children thrive, develop confidence, and achieve their potential. Flexible Roles for University Students – Basingstoke (September 2025) Responsibilities: To support students who struggle with their class work Facilitate a fun and friendly learning environment To provide support to the class teacher To keep the classroom a tidy and presentable environment Help manage classroom behaviour What we are looking for: Graduates or current university students with a desire to explore a career in education Core subject degrees such as Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, or PE (for aspiring teachers) Experience working with SEN (in school, care, or voluntary settings) preferred, not essential Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals. A patient and nurturing approach to working with children. Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
