SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistants - Newport
Are you a caring and adaptable Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We're currently seeking dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of year groups in primary schools throughout Newport, providing essential support to pupils with a variety of complex needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with ALN and complex needs
Assist with the development of communication, social, and emotional skills
Support learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environmentRequirements:
Experience supporting children with ALN and/or complex needs
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
