About the role
Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in a nurturing school environment. This role involves working closely with children who have SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs.

Key responsibilities
Provide tailored support to children aged 3–5, both individually and in small groups.
Assist pupils with SEND, particularly those with ASC and complex learning needs.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to support pupil development.
What we’re looking for
Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching Assistance (or equivalent).
Experience working in a school or nursery setting with children aged 3–5.
Strong understanding of child development and early years education.
Patience, flexibility, and confidence in supporting children of varying abilities.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Previous experience in a SEND or SEN setting is essential.
Knowledge of how SEND conditions affect learning and behaviour.
Ability to support pupils with communication and/or physical needs.
