Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant (ALN) - Cardiff & Surrounding Areas
Primary & Secondary Settings
We are seeking a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant with experience supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to join schools across Cardiff and nearby areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to work in inclusive classrooms, supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while promoting the use of the Welsh language.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with ALN in both mainstream and specialist settings
Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions in Welsh and English
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and differentiated activities
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Promoting bilingual communication and cultural awareness within the classroom
The Ideal Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant Candidate Will Have:
Fluency in Welsh and English (spoken and written)
Previous experience supporting learners with ALN (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech & language needs, etc.)
Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) or equivalent experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to learning support
