Reeson Education is working in partnership with a Hampshire local authority maintained special school that supports children and young people aged 2-19 with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties.
Teaching Assistant
Many pupils have co-existing conditions such as Autism, Down Syndrome, and physical disabilities. The school operates across two sites-one for Primary and one for Secondary.

We are looking for enthusiastic, resilient, and caring Teaching Assistant to join the team and make a real difference in the lives of pupils with complex needs.
Teaching Assistant
As a Teaching Assistant (TA) in this setting, you will:
Support pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties
Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility where required
Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
Use communication aids, sensory resources, and visual timetables
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Encourage independence and celebrate small steps of progressTeaching Assistant
What a typical day might look like:
Supporting pupils during morning arrival and settling routines
Assisting with communication and sensory activities
Helping deliver tailored lessons and interventions
Supporting pupils during break and lunch times
Using visual aids and structured prompts to guide learning
Assisting with personal care and physical support where needed
Recording pupil progress and sharing feedback with the teamTeaching Assistant
