Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary school Location: Harlow Salary: £89 – £110 per day (dependent on qualifications and experience) Contract Type: Short-term, Long-term, and Permanent roles available About the Role We are looking to appoint dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to join a highly reputable and welcoming school in Harlow. The role offers the opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where staff are valued, and pupils are supported to achieve their best. This is a rewarding position that may involve providing general classroom assistance as well as targeted 1:1 support for pupils who may need additional help to access learning. Candidates with experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) are also encouraged to apply, as there may be opportunities to take on more responsibility within the school. Key Responsibilities Provide support to the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Offer 1:1 support to pupils, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum fully. Contribute to planning and preparation where required, particularly for HLTA roles. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at all times. Requirements Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, with particular strength in providing 1:1 support. A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting children’s learning. What’s on Offer A competitive daily rate of £89 – £110, depending on qualifications and experience.
