Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting young people with complex needs?
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary SEN school in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, helping pupils aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, including autism, communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and medical or physical needs.
The Role:
Support students with EHCPs on a 1:1 or small group basis
Assist with implementing individual learning and behaviour plans
Provide personal care and mobility support when required
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic care
Create a nurturing and structured environment that promotes learning and independence
Requirements:
✅ Previous school-based experience is essential
✅ Experience supporting pupils with complex SEN
✅ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
✅ Calm, patient and flexible approach
✅ Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
