Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a specialist all-through school in Shepshed that supports children aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a calm, structured and supportive environment where every pupil is given the chance to thrive.
This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a full-time Teaching Assistant role, supporting students to overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent 1:1 and small-group support tailored to SEMH needs.
Help students develop self-regulation skills, resilience and positive relationships.
Support the implementation of behaviour strategies and routines across the school.
Work closely with teachers and support staff to track progress and adjust interventions.
What We're Looking For
Experience working with young people with SEMH or SEN needs is desirable.
Backgrounds in sports coaching, youth work or mentoring are also highly valued.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and emotional support.
An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
