Teaching Assistant – KS1 Speech and Language Support Location: Lancaster Start Date: After November Half Term Contract Type: Fixed Term / Part-Time / Full-Time (depending on candidate availability) Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team in Lancaster, with a specific focus on supporting pupils with speech and language development. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the early stages of children's education, working closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external specialists. About the Role: Supporting children in KS1 with identified speech and language needs, both in class and through targeted interventions. Working collaboratively with teaching staff to implement personalised learning strategies. Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and planning meetings. Creating a positive, inclusive, and language-rich environment that encourages communication and confidence. We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally with a focus on speech and language. Is patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting young learners. Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.
