Teaching Assistant
Location: Nottingham (NG5)
Pay: £95 - £100 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term-time only
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term with the option to become permanent
We're looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' mainstream secondary school in NG5. This role involves supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them stay engaged in learning, build confidence and make progress in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support in the classroom
Encourage positive behaviour, focus and participation in lessons
Work closely with teachers and wider support teams
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupilsWhat We're Looking For
Experience supporting young people (school or similar setting)
A calm, patient and adaptable approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Enhanced DBS or willingness to applyThis is a long-term position with a genuine opportunity to go permanent, working in a welcoming and supportive mainstream school setting.
