Primary Teaching Assistant
Position Overview:
Role: Learning Support Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Slough, Berkshire, SL1
Contract: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4pm
Start Date: 03/11/25
Pay: £100-£110 per day (Equivalent to £500-£550 per week, based on a 5-day week)Are you passionate about helping children thrive in their learning journey? Do you have a warm, supportive nature and a genuine interest in education? We're looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Slough.
In this role, you'll work closely with teachers to support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Whether it's offering one-to-one support, assisting with group activities, or helping children build confidence, your contribution as a Teaching Assistant will be truly valued.

We're looking for someone who can bring energy, empathy, and commitment to the role. Ideally, you will:
Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours that help build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
Show a clear understanding of your role within the classroom and wider school environment.
Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, following school policies and statutory guidance.
Have a good grasp of subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to primary education.
Use effective strategies to support teaching and learning, including working with pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Communicate clearly and sensitively with children, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
Be open to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential-we welcome applications from those looking to start their journey in education.
