About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a real difference in the classroom. You will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-to-one or small-group support, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support class teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and activities.
*
Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning.
*
Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
*
Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation.
*
Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence and independence.
*
Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and breaks when required.
*
Contribute to the wider school life, including clubs, trips, and enrichment activities.
Person Specification
Essential:
*
Experience working or volunteering with children or young people.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
*
Reliable, proactive, and able to work well in a team.
*
A genuine interest in supporting children’s education and development.
Desirable:
*
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
*
Experience supporting pupils with SEN or EAL.
*
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
*
Interest in progressing towards a career in teaching or education.
