Teaching Assistant - SEMH & Behaviour Support
Location: Leicestershire (LE8)
Pay: £90-£100 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term-time only)
Start Date: Trial days commencing week of 27th October
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Long Term Futures are looking for an energetic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist SEMH provision in Leicestershire. The school supports pupils aged 4-16 who need additional help with emotional regulation, confidence and engagement in learning.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on with young people - particularly if you have experience in sports, coaching, youth work, or mentoring and are keen to make a positive impact in an educational environment.
Your Role
Support pupils with SEMH needs through 1:1 and small-group sessions.
Encourage positive behaviour, resilience and focus throughout the school day.
Assist in lessons, outdoor learning and structured activities.
Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to deliver consistent support.
Build strong, trusting relationships that help students re-engage with education.
About You
Experience supporting children or young people (education, youth, care or sport).
Calm, confident and proactive when managing challenging behaviour.
A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
