Position: Teaching Assistant (Year 1 – RWI Focus)
Location: Wythenshawe
Pay Rate: £90–£110

Start date: 20th April 2026

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting early reading? Do you have a strong understanding of Read Write Inc and a passion for helping young learners build confidence in phonics? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Cover People are recruiting an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in Wythenshawe, supporting a Year 1 class. Experience delivering or supporting Read Write Inc (RWI) is essential for this role.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging Year 1 lessons, with a strong focus on phonics.
Deliver and support Read Write Inc (RWI) sessions to small groups.
Work with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to support early reading development.
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Act as a positive and encouraging role model for young learners.
