Are you a recent Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education?
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Hull from September. This role is perfect for individuals who are considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support and are eager to apply their understanding of child development and behaviour in a practical classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities for the TA:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs (e.g., SEN or SEMH).
Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
Help implement strategies to support learning, social and emotional development.
Support students with behavioural or mental health challenges using positive interventions.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements:
A degree in Psychology or a related field.
Passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in schools or working with children (desirable but not essential).
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
